LAKE JACKSON'S FAVORITE FISHES
Largemouth Bass
Not an every day event, but 12-14 pounders have been caught
Striped and hybrid Bass
Even bigger than the Largemouth
Catfish
Occasionally up to 20+ lbs. and probably bigger.
Every restaurant within shouting distance serves this
excellent tasting fish.
Crappie
I personally have one that was 23" and 3 1/4 lbs.
The spring "bed" season is the best time.
Superlative tasting.
Bluegill Bream (Brim)
Sometimes bigger'n your hand.
Also excellent tasting.
Carp
A favorite with bow & arrow fisherman.
Big enough to require two men to lift.
And, well, they can be eaten.
