The lake dam was built in 1910 and electricity was originally generated for Macon, GA.
Relative to others in the state, it is a smaller lake which still generates electricity and provides a location for watersports such as boating, skiing and fishing.
Please take a tour of our lake.
NOTE: The above photo was taken in 1957.
Today the law requires a ski vest, not a ski-belt.
